Our purpose-built pond is now open. The pond
is
suitable for an introduction to canoeing for young people with
the anticipation that once their appetite is whetted here, a
visit to Moor Crag is
the next logical step for something more adventurous.The
creek is class C water, which doesn't require any BCU
qualifications. However, the Leader in charge will still need
their DC'c permission. This could either be on a one off basis,
or a long term consent by way of a Form W.
The
self-help sessions include hire of canoes, helmets, paddles & buoyancy
aids.

Instruction is not provided for this activity, each group
will require a "competent adult" whom we will show to the
pond,
assist in setting-up and leave to supervise once they are happy
with the session.
